Despite its weakness, traditional medicine is still used by the Bakumpai Dayak community in Muara Plantau Village, East Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan. In order for the value of knowledge not to disappear, researchers identify and document the plants that are used as medicine by the community. Interviews were carried out on the community (the elderly) who are knowledgeable about medicinal plants. Literature study was used to supplement or strengthen data. Data is presented in table and analyzed descriptively. The data includes plant local/scientific names, processing methods and parts of plants that are used, as well as ways or places to obtain plants and efforts to spread utilization. Forty plant species are used as medicine by the community. The parts of the plant that are used are leaf tops (57%), roots (15%) and the remaining flowers and rhizomes. To get medicinal properties, the plant part is boiled and after cooking it is eaten, boiled and the boiled water is drunk, crushed and affixed or applied to the pain part of the body, or dried and the aroma is inhaled or sucked. |
