dc.description Based on the information of society Aluh-aluh Besar Village, Banjar District. Fruit of Sonneratia caseolaris used as a traditional medicine diarrheal diseases. Secondary metabolites contained in S. caseolaris namely saponin, tannin, steroid, and flavonoid, a compound can act as anti-bacteria, especially bacteria that cause diarrheal diseases to human. Because of that, it is necessary to do a research to test infused of fruit of S. caseolaris to E. coli Bacteria’s growth. Objective of this research are (1) determine Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) of infusion of S. caseolaris fruit is effective in hibiting the growth of E. coli, (2) prove that the effect of giving different concentrate infused of fruit of S. caseolaris in inhibiting the growth of E. coli. The method of this research is using experiment method, test on bacteria using diffusion method. The result of this research shows that the growth of E. coli is on concentrate 25%. Give infused of fruit of S. caseolaris in inhibit the growth of E. coli significantly (α ˂ 0,05). Keywords: bacteria, growth, infusion, fruit, Sonneratia caseolaris
