Pattunuang river is one of the tourist attraction at Pattunuang Assue Nature Tourism Area (NTA). Pattunuang Assue NTA is one of the important tourism sites at Bantimurung Bulusaraung National Park, with adventure travel as the main attraction. This study aims to detrmine the tourist’s perceptions on the role of river atractions in adventure travel. Data collection were conducted by interviews and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that Pattunuang river has an important positon in adventure tourist’s perceptions. River cleanliness level, water clarity level, accessible, and low risk level, are the major attractive factors of Pattunuang river. With increasing of the visiting of tourist each year, Pattunuang river has a strategic position in ecotourism development in Pattunuang Assue NTA at Bantimurung Bulusaraung National Park.
