Lotus (Nymphaea sp) is one of marsh plants type. Part of Lotus can be utilized, for example lotus seeds can be consumed because it contains carbohydrates, Lotus potentially be ornamental plants, and Lotus used in traditional ceremonies. Pandak Daun Village is a marsh area that are grazing area of swamp buffalo. In the of the grazing area of swamp buffalo there are many types of plants, one of them is Lotus (Nymphaea sp). The objectives of the research to determine the density and the distribution pattern of Lotus in the grazing area of swamp buffalo Pandak Daun Village Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency. Descriptive method was used in this research. Research area were divided into three zones: the area with high grazing intensity within 100 meters from the byre as zone I, the ares with medium grazing intensity within 200 meters from byre as zone II, and the area with low grazing intensity within 300 meter from byre as zone III. The number of sampling points in each zone is 100 points with a plot sized 1 x 1 m2. Determination of distribution patterns used Poisson distribution formula. The Results showed density of Lotus (Nymphaea sp) in the zone I was 34 ind / ha, in zone II was 34 ind / ha, and in zone III was 9 ind / ha. The distribution pattern of Lotus (Nymphaea sp) in zone I and zone II are clumped distribution, whereas in zone III is random distribution
