Examining the Validity of Qualitative Research Data in Undergraduate Theses. This study
is focused on examining the validation of research data in undergraduate theses which used a qualitative
research approach. The focus of the examination is on the implementation of triangulation techniques in
the process of checking the validity of the data. The examination found some issues which include: errors
and ambiguities in the data inspection procedures, misconceptions and inaccurate implementation of triangulation
as a technique that checks the validity of the data, and internal and external factors causing the
misconceptions and inaccurate implementation of data validity checking of triangulation. While the internal
factors refer to the limitations of the student's knowledge of research methodology, the external factors
have to do with the process of research and guidance along the thesis advisement process.
